    MAY I HAVE THIS DANCE??

I have been checking in on Rich as to how he is progressing with his physical therapy and believe it or not he is showing progress.  Last February he could not get Medicare approval for his therapy as they felt his goals were not attainable.  Oh, just let me face that comittee.  Do not EVER take away someone's hope.

I  have done a sort of mock "prom thing" with Rich.  Yes, he and I will have a prom early spring at the nursing home's gym.  I have asked him and he has accepted.

In his day he was quite the dancer and last winter, he just wanted so much to dance with me.

How can I put this?  With this person I simply feel cherished.  I never had that feeling in my marriage, nor did I ever have it with anyone I ever dated when my marriage was over.  If I ever put up his picture, I know none of you would understand our being "an item."

He has lung cancer and not sure of his future, but for whatever reason I am in it.  No one is playing games.  I just feel blessed.

But I may simply say, "May I have this dance" and there he will be at least for today.

Dear Eileen, The dance is ever a close step in time that held near closes a gap as in the eyes the dancers meet and share. There but for a moment glee in the fleeting glory with soft steps and gentle hugs in tune with the all. Savor the moment and cherish the melding for all of time.
    As ever be well

Love (cherish) comes in many packages. The bible says only what love is (of course we know what it is not) And to be able to experience it for even a short time is probably the most amazing gift of all...I will be 47 in 21 days...and I am still waiting for the Lord to allow me to experience that on this side of heaven. Until then, may I live vicariously through you? LOL...yes, Duckie I am a romantic...dancing..one of my favorite movies of all time is the Anna and the King (the remake of The King and I which was an oldie but a goodie) I pray that it will be a blast for you both!!!!
    Grace to you

This is great! You enjoy your blessing . MY husband has liver cancer, as you probally know. It is terrible to watch the chemo affects, and what it does to their pride. I watched my mom go through it. It killed her in 2006.My husband was a sprawling 250 lb man. with muscles to match, and resembled Alan Jackson- the country singer. ALTHOUGH he never was a dancer, and I was. I miss his strength. His muscle mass is being affected by the chemo. Sorry my DEAR friend I did not mean to rain on your parade, YOU ENJOY YOUR DANCE,AND LET HIM CHERISH YOU all he wants. You deserve it. Bless u.
